Third Shot is operated by Negative Space Bar LLC ("we," "us," "our"). This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, what we do with it, and the choices you have. It applies to thirdshot.work and any subdomains we run.

What we collect

Account info. When you sign up we collect your email and optionally your name. If you upgrade, our payment processor (Stripe) collects payment details directly — we never see your card number.
Activity on the board. Jobs you save, dismiss, view, or apply to. We use this to power your dashboard, alerts, and personalized ranking.
Usage telemetry. Basic analytics (page views, referrer, rough geographic region from IP). We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
Cookies.A single auth session cookie when you sign in. That's it.

How we use it

To operate the board — show you matching roles, save your bookmarks, send the daily/instant alerts you opted into.
To process payments and manage subscriptions (via Stripe).
To improve the product — understand which roles people apply to, which categories need more coverage, where the site is slow.
To contact you about the service (account emails, alerts you subscribed to, occasional product updates). You can turn alerts off any time from your dashboard.

Who we share it with

We share only what each vendor needs to do its job. None of these vendors sell your data.

Stripe — payment processing.
Resend — outbound transactional email (account, alerts).
Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, edge caching, anti-abuse.
Anthropic — we send job descriptions (no user PII) to Claude to normalize them for the board.

Aside from the vendors above and lawful requests we're required to comply with, we don't share your personal data with anyone.

How long we keep it

Account and activity data are kept while your account is active. Delete your account and we delete the associated rows within 30 days (some aggregate, non-identifying counts are retained for product analytics). Job postings and company data are retained indefinitely as part of the public board.

Your choices

Update your name or alert preferences from your dashboard.
Email us to export, correct, or delete your personal data.
Sign out at any time. Closing the browser ends the session.

Children

The site is intended for users 16 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger.

Changes

We'll update this page if our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top is the source of truth for when it last changed.
