FAQ
What does a pickleball coach make in the US?
Entry-level pickleball pros at indoor clubs typically earn $20–35/hour. Senior pros and academy directors at brand-affiliated facilities can clear $80K-$130K base, with the upside coming from private lessons and clinic fees on top.
Which pickleball coaching certification matters most?
PCI (Pickleball Coaching International, Selkirk-affiliated), IPTPA, and PPR are the three most-recognized. PCI is fastest-growing; IPTPA is the oldest and broadest. Most employers accept any one of them.
Can you coach pickleball without a cert?
Yes — and many do, especially in community park settings. Larger clubs (Life Time, The Picklr, Chicken N Pickle) generally require or strongly prefer a cert. Getting one is a one-weekend, ~$500 investment.
