What pickleball club managers and directors get paid

Posted pay for pickleball club managers, directors of pickleball and facility managers, pulled from a year of job postings. Small sample, real numbers.

Most pay guides for pickleball cover coaches. If you want to run a club, a program or a facility, there's very little to go on. So we went back through every pickleball job posted to Third Shot over the last twelve months and looked at the management roles that actually listed a salary.

The honest headline is that pay is rarely posted for these jobs. We tracked 49 distinct manager, director and head-of roles in the past year. Only 10 listed pay, and three of those turned out to be account manager sales jobs rather than operations roles. That leaves seven management roles with posted pay. It's a small sample, so treat everything below as a reference point, not a market average.

Club and facility management

These are the roles that run a location day to day, and they're the clearest numbers we have.

  • Club Manager at The Picklr: $65,000 to $70,000.
  • Assistant Club Manager at The Picklr: $45,000 to $50,000.
  • Facilities Manager at Center Court Pickleball Club: $70,000.
  • Club Operations Manager at Ace Pickleball Club: $40,000.

The pattern is a ladder. A general manager at a multi-location operator lands in the mid $60Ks, the assistant sits about $20,000 below, and a single-location operations role can start around $40,000. Facilities roles that mix maintenance and operations can pay as much as a club manager.

Directors of pickleball and sales leadership

  • Racquet Sports Professional and Pickleball Director at Troon (Belfair, SC): $60,000 and up. This is a club-based role that blends coaching and program leadership, and the posting lists only a starting figure.
  • Director of Sales and Strategic Partnerships at Peak Pickleball (CO): $70,000 to $110,000. The widest range we saw, and the highest top end.
  • Membership Sales Manager at Center Court Pickleball Club: $40,000 to $45,000.

Director titles run from about $60,000 to $110,000 in this small group. Where the salary lands depends mostly on whether the role is operational (running a facility or program) or commercial (partnerships and sales), and the commercial side posted the highest ceiling.

What this tells you

  • Management pay at most pickleball employers starts in the $40Ks and tops out in the $60Ks to $70Ks for a single-site leadership role, based on what's posted.
  • Pay transparency is thin. Only about one in five management roles listed pay, so ask early in the process what the range is, and whether lesson, membership or program revenue shares are part of it.
  • Bigger operators post more. The Picklr, Center Court and Troon account for most of the numbers here, so they're a useful benchmark for offers elsewhere.

Caveats

Our data only covers jobs that reached public boards or employer career pages. Roles filled through referrals never show up. Seven salaries is not a statistical sample, and we'll update this as more employers post pay.
