City of Thornton seeks a pickleball instructor to teach group and private lessons for adult and youth participants of all skill levels.
What you'll do
- Prepare, implement, and evaluate group and private pickleball lesson plans
- Teach pickleball skills to participants of varying ability levels
- Reserve courts and coordinate dates/times for private lessons
- Enforce facility and class policies and ensure participant safety
- Monitor attendance rosters and verify payments are received
- Respond to emergencies and file accurate accident and incident reports
- Provide customer service to participants and parents, resolving issues as needed
What we're looking for
- One season or six months of pickleball experience as participant or instructor
- CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Knowledge of basic pickleball instruction and coaching techniques
- Ability to lead and coordinate classes or lessons effectively
- Ability to react quickly and accurately in emergency situations
